1: Raw Nut Grading Machine

Before the shelling process, macadamia nuts are first fed into a raw nut grading machine for size classification. This machine is specifically designed for unshelled macadamia nuts and can divide the raw material into four size grades based on diameter: 8–10 mm, 10–12 mm, 12–14 mm, and above 14 mm.

Because macadamia nuts vary in both diameter and shell thickness, size grading prior to shelling helps improve the stability and consistency of the subsequent shelling process. Grouping nuts of similar size allows the shelling machine to operate under more suitable parameters, effectively reducing kernel breakage and improving overall processing efficiency.

2: Macadamia Shelling Machine

The macadamia shelling machine is the core equipment of the macadamia processing plant. It applies controlled mechanical force to crack the hard macadamia shell while minimizing damage to the kernel. The processing capacity of a single machine is approximately 300–400 kg/h, and all parts in contact with the material are made of stainless steel, meeting food processing requirements.

For high-capacity processing projects, multiple shelling machines can be configured to operate in parallel, effectively increasing overall throughput and supporting continuous production.

3: Nut Shell and Kernel Separator

After cracking, the mixture of shells and kernels is transferred to a shell and kernel separation machine. This equipment uses differences in weight, shape, and airflow characteristics to separate kernels from shell fragments.

Efficient separation ensures cleaner kernels and reduces the need for manual sorting, improving processing efficiency and product quality.

4: Nut Kernel Grading Machine

After shell and kernel separation, the kernels are fed into the kernel grading machine for classification by size or specification. The machine can sort the kernels into large, medium, small, or additional grades, with screen sizes and grading levels customizable according to processing requirements.

Kernel grading facilitates subsequent packaging, pricing, and market distribution, and is particularly suitable for export operations and multi-grade product applications.

Conveying and Material Handling System
