Our green walnut peeling machine is designed to remove the green outer husk from freshly harvested walnuts efficiently, without adding water during the peeling process. With a chain-fed conveying system, multiple independent channels, and inclined stainless-steel blades, the machine continuously cuts and removes the green husk while minimizing unnecessary squeezing between walnuts. The large model can process more than 6 tons of green walnuts per hour, with a normal capacity of around 6–8 tons/h, making it suitable for large-scale walnut processing.
What Is a Green Walnut Peeling Machine?
Freshly harvested walnuts are covered by a thick green outer layer known as the green husk or green hull. This outer layer needs to be removed before the walnuts enter subsequent processing stages such as washing, drying, grading, and storage.
A green walnut peeling machine is designed specifically for this initial processing stage. Instead of removing the hard walnut shell, the machine focuses on cutting and separating the soft green outer husk.

How Does the Green Walnut Hulling Machine Work?
The machine uses a combination of chain conveying and inclined blade cutting to remove the green husk.
Fresh green walnuts enter the feeding section and are distributed into multiple channels. The chain system continuously moves the walnuts forward while the stainless-steel blades make repeated cuts into the green husk.
The 45° inclined blade arrangement is designed to imitate the cutting action used when green husks are removed manually. As the walnut moves through the machine, it passes through multiple cutting points, allowing the green husk to be progressively opened and separated.
The general working process is:
Fresh green walnuts → Multi-channel feeding → Chain conveying → Repeated blade cutting → Green husk removal → Peeled walnuts discharge
The walnuts are processed through individual channels rather than being heavily accumulated in one peeling chamber. This helps reduce excessive squeezing and provides a more controlled feeding and peeling process.
